Progress update - coming to the end

As I get closer to the end of the module and the course as a whole, all parts of the project need to start being tied up and completed all at once which can be quite hectic so a checklist has been made to ensure I can see progress in an efficient manner and prioritise what order these tasks must be completed in. As well as producing imagery for the concept art book and scanning, editing and compositing them I am to produce a professional academic poster detailing the project to be displayed alongside my work at the end of year degree show.

Some of these tasks are constantly ongoing (such as the scanning of images as I am constantly making images for the book - the date for the poster is also wrong its deadline is June 27th not July)

This is how the poster is currently looking following the template guidelines and tailoring to my own project.

Here are my Intro and Context sections that have been completed so far, still requiring some editing to make them more concise and fit within the word count of 1500.

Alongside production of this poster I have been working on pages within the book making sure each image has enough room to breathe and ensuring the creatures appear in a logical manner to keep in line with the narrative that I'm attempting to develop within the book.

Looking back on this project part of me regrets having not started it at the beginning of the two years as I would have been able to delve deeper into the production of the world and creatures, looking into gender and ecological differences in sufferers of cognitive disorders to allow for even more informed designs perhaps having female and male versions of certain creatures to highlight the differences in symptoms since some disorders have a higher probability in certain genders and races as there are contributing factors to their occurrence as seen in some of the prior research where inner city living, age, job type could all affect sufferers.

As you can see from my checklist of tasks to do there are still Paranoia and Dysthymia needing to be researched and that will follow the already established formula of separating symptoms and perceptions, looking into causes and going through the iterative design process to produce creature designs. As well as this I hope to produce environmental sketches as well as imagery of local individuals that are met throughout the concept book to both add richness to the narrative experience as well as showcase my drawing skills though these are low priority as the important image making is the creatures of which I am also currently still working on such as full art imagery of the domesticated and wild versions of generalised anxiety disorder to fully realise the differences between the two and highlight our own impact on sufferers when we manipulate our view of their suffering to fit our own emotional needs.

I have fully finished my text for the professional poster, still needs some proofreading and tweaking to flow better as a piece of academi...
